Here is a silly question that has been playing on my mind for a while.
Why do meals end with something sweet?
Is there really a correct answer to this question?
When we plan a meal we usually look at
main course
a side
and something sweet.
WHY?
If you can find an answer, please let me know.
Since Fall is coming to an end,
I planned this meal just to feel like I was taking a little
bit of Fall with me.....
I found this brats and beer soup at Recipes.com
It looks like a creamy dreamy sensation....
And of course, here is another must.
WHY?
You have to have some kind of bread with your soup,
right?
I found a recipe for Scottish Short Bread.
It will be on the sweeter side,
but it should be perfect with the brats and beer.
This is a King Arthur Flour recipe.
Here is that sweet ending....
I didn't want to go with anything too heavy,
and I had fruit in mind.
Fruit always goes great with soup.
So I found these cute little Fruit Pizzas from the Pioneer Party Blog.
They are so simple to make too.
I hope you all enjoy this meal as much as I know I will.
Here's an excellent explanation of why Sweets became an integral part of meal serving
