Once again my dear friend Marsha has inspired me.
Marsha and I email each other back and forth almost daily. We vent, we brag, we cry, and we keep each other up to date on what is going on in our lives. Every day I look forward to either hearing from Marsha or replying to Marsha. She has become a very important part of my life.
In a recent email, Marsha was talking about creating a layered salad. Oh, that sounded so good.
But what I did was, I used what I had in my frig instead of following a recipe.
I took the tzatziki sauce and sweetened it with vanilla yogurt and a couple teaspoons of sugar.
It made a very good layered salad dressing. It still had the taste of the cucumber, and it was sweet enough to be placed in a layered salad.
I then started layering my ingredients into my trifle dish.
I served this with sauteed fresh green beans and turkey bacon. Excellent meal of veggies.
"Then God said, "I am giving you every plant on the face of the whole earth that bears its own seeds. I am giving you every tree that has fruit with seeds in it. All of them will be given to you for food.""
Genesis 1:29
