How do you like my new look?
I felt the need to accessorise my blog to fit the mood (to be noticed). It is winter, you know.
What is the purpose of accessories anyway? Are they just something to make us feel better, look better, taste better?
Sometimes something plain without the fancy-smancy gets all the attention it needs.
I have never cooked with chorizo before. I have ate plenty, and love it, but have never had the opportunity to create my own chorizo dish.
I cracked 8 eggs, added a little milk (maybe 1/2 cup), about a half teaspoon of smoked paprika, salt and pepper and whisked them together .
I added the egg mixture with the unneeded smoked paprika accessory, and cooked until the egg was done, stirring often.
I placed the cooked chorizo, egg, and potato on a soft flour tortilla, topped it with Romano cheese and salsa, rolled it up, and enjoyed every last bite.

I found out that the smoked paprika didn't really have to be in there (an accessory).
Can spices be considered an accessory? Something that is added just to say it is there?
My burrito gets to brag, "Look at me, look at me, I have smoked paprika that I can show off, but I don't really need it."
I am not a big Christmas fan.
Don't get me wrong; I love the meaning of Christmas and everything it stands for, but my Christmas views have been killed with the materialistic, selfishness, an advantage for businesses to make money (black Friday and cyber Monday), and the meaning being crushed. The real reason for Christmas is to celebrate our Creator and everything His Son stands for.
Since the meaning of Christmas is being diminished slowly, I decided to accessorise my favorite snowman.
My snowman represents the triangular form to symbolize religious meaning (the pine tree), the lights represent the stars in the sky, and the stockings represent gifts. I have all of my meanings covered.
My meaning of Christmas!
So, sometimes accessories do have meaning and are a necessity.
But my burrito will remain alone.
Yes, it splatters orange.
You will end up with permanent accessories on your clothing, unwanted accessories, no meaning (other than you cooked chorizo and was successful)....

See, things (people, food, and products) can be enjoyable, loved, and be noticed without accessories.
And I will have you know, I enjoyed three of those un-accessorised burritos (except for the unneeded smoked paprika).
Good Luck~Happy Eating~Enjoy
"Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be there with content." 1 Tim. 6:6, 7, 8

ReplyDeleteThanks Dewey, you are my best viewer....
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Love the 'cool' background - I've never even eaten chorizo before...you make it all very interesting. I just adore your snowman too! And all the meanings that are most important. Great going!!
ReplyDeleteMarsha, if you want to experiment with chorizo, just keep in mind that it is spicy. Not a hot spicy but a good spicy (an enjoyable one). Makes for a great breakfast...
