A Great Aunt: Piped Pumpkin Pie

Isn't it funny how "life happens" in stages?

You start as a child with no cares in the world.

You turn into a teenager bound to take on the world.

You turn into an adult with no choice but to take on the world.

You have children who you have to show to the world.

Your children become adults ready to battle the world and enforce everything you taught them.

Your children have children that turn you into a grandparent.

But there is one thing that happened that totally stopped me in my tracks.

My niece is going to have a baby. She was once a child, a teen, an adult, but now she is turning me into a great aunt. GREAT AUNT!! I am truly getting old, life is happening at a speed where I feel I have no more control.

That is my beautiful niece April, who is going to have a beautiful daughter in May.

This is my adult daughter Cassie who we are dressing in a diaper. Grandmother and mother are putting the diaper on her. That is just way too funny!!

Almost complete....

This is the cupcake tree I put together for my niece's baby shower. All of the decorations I used are items that April can keep and use for her new baby.

The next time you make cupcakes, don't forget to pick up a pumpkin pie. Truly amazing....
