The Tomato Is In The Wrap: BLT

Last night for dinner I decided to do something fun.

We had wraps (BLT) for dinner.

The wrap sandwich became popular about 15 years ago (MMMM....a wrap sandwich, who would have thought? Isn't that what a taco is?).

They are very versatile, tasty, affordable, and convenient.

Sometimes you can even find restaurants that will let you build your own (Yippie, that's like building your own ice cream sundae).

You can put any kind of meat, vegetable, and even fruit inside a wrap, and they are the perfect to-go item (It's all about the quickness in today's society).

My daughter was the photographer for this post (Randi).

The top picture, in her words, is rad, tight, cool, awesome, sweet, off the hook, the bomb, etc...

I have a hard time keeping up with teenage slang....

A lot of times I have to ask her what she means, or what the word means (generation change!!).

I have all of my ingredients ready to go.
The tomato in our BLT wraps is in the wrap (because there is one person in the household that doesn't like tomatoes....). We used sun-dried tomato basil wraps.

The bacon has been purchased from the Chief Supermarket. It is from their own smokehouse meat section. The bacon is sliced thick so all of the flavor is in there.
I like to treat my family sometimes with some of the better cuts of meat other than
the norm, chicken, ground chuck, and roasts.

This is what we did:
We smeared mayonnaise (Hellmann's Olive Oil Mayo) on the wrap. Sprinkled shredded lettuce, shredded Sargento Sharp Wisconsin & Vermont Cheddar with Real Bacon, and two slices of Smokehouse Bacon, then we wrapped them up.
It was a pretty easy, tasteful meal.
Good Luck~Happy Eating~Enjoy
